General Terms and Conditions of Membership Rewards® Points

Unless the relevant sentence expressly provides another meaning, all terms used in these General Terms and Conditions have the following meanings:

  1. Bank is PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk, located in South Jakarta, acting through its head office, branch offices, or other forms of offices throughout Indonesia.
  2. Hello Danamon is the authorized work unit that provides information services and (non-cash) banking transaction services provided by the Bank to the Cardholder via telephone 24 (twenty-four) hours a day and 7 (seven) days a week.
  3. Danamon American Express Credit Card and Danamon American Express Charge Card (hereinafter referred to as the "Card") is a card issued by the Bank and given to the Cardholder based on the Cardholder's application under the license of the Principal, American Express, which cooperates with the Bank, which can be used as a means of payment for obligations arising from an economic activity, including shopping transactions and/or for making cash withdrawals, where the Cardholder's payment obligation is first fulfilled by the Issuer or the Bank, and the Cardholder is obliged to settle said payment obligation with a payment period until the due date every month or as agreed, either in full (mandatory for charge cards) or in installments.
  4. Membership Rewards® Point is a reward point obtained by the Cardholder through transactions, the amount of which is determined by the Bank. The system will calculate and accumulate points from certain Cardholder transaction activities as determined by the Bank from Bank products owned by the Cardholder, provided that the products owned by the Cardholder are registered under 1 (one) account. The accumulated points can be redeemed for various gifts through the redemption channels provided by the Bank.
  5. D-Bank PRO is a banking information and transaction service provided by the Bank to the Customer 24 (twenty-four) hours a day and 7 (seven) days a week, and can be accessed by the Customer, either through D-Bank PRO mobile using a mobile phone or through D-Bank PRO application.
  6. Cardholder is the principal cardholder and supplementary cardholder who is the legitimate user of the Card, whose name and data are on the Card.
  7. Redemption Channel is the Membership Rewards® Point redemption channel provided by the Bank to redeem Membership Rewards® Points for various available gifts.

  1. The Cardholder hereby states that the Bank has provided sufficient explanation regarding the characteristics of the Membership Rewards® Point that will be used by the Cardholder, and the Cardholder has understood and comprehended all consequences of using the Membership Rewards® Point, including the benefits, risks, and costs inherent to the Membership Rewards® Point, which can also be viewed on the communication media available at the Bank.
  2. By the Cardholder exchanging Membership Rewards® Points through the Redemption Channel in accordance with these General Terms and Conditions, the Cardholder is deemed to have read, understood, agreed to, and declared to submit to and be bound by these General Terms and Conditions.
  3. The Cardholder may inquire about information regarding the Membership Rewards® Point through Hello Danamon or The Platinum Card Service or other media designated by the Bank.
  1. There are 2 (two) categories for Membership Rewards® Point redemption, namely NFTO (Non Frequent Traveller Option) and FTO (Frequent Traveller Option).
    1. FTO (Frequent Traveller Option)
      1. Automatically applies to Danamon American Express Platinum Charge Cardholders or other Danamon American Express Credit and Charge Cardholders who have previously registered to become Membership Rewards® Point FTO.
      2. The Membership Rewards® Point FTO redemption category can be redeemed for airline miles, hotel points, shopping vouchers, shopping money, and annual fee waiver.
      3. Membership Rewards® Point FTO has no expiration period.
      4. If the Cardholder wishes to register as a Membership Rewards® Point FTO, a registration fee of Rp250,000 (two hundred and fifty thousand rupiah) per year will be charged.
      5. Registration for Membership Rewards® Point FTO for Danamon American Express Credit and Charge Cards other than the Danamon American Express Platinum Charge Card can contact Hello Danamon at 1-500-090.
    2. NFTO (Non Frequent Traveller Option)
      1. Automatically applies to Danamon American Express Credit and Charge Cards other than the Danamon American Express Platinum Charge Card.
      2. The Membership Rewards® Point NFTO redemption category can be redeemed for shopping vouchers, shopping money, and annual fee waiver.
      3. Membership Rewards® Point NFTO has no expiration period.
  2. The Cardholder's ownership of Membership Rewards® Points will automatically terminate if the Cardholder no longer possesses the Card and/or the Cardholder is declared ineligible to obtain or redeem Membership Rewards® Points by the Bank due to engaging in fraud in the accumulation of Membership Rewards® Points or violating the prevailing regulations at the Bank or the applicable laws and regulations in Indonesia. In such case, the Bank is fully entitled to cancel the Cardholder's ownership of the Membership Rewards® Points.
Below are credit/charge cards that are eligible to receive Membership Rewards® Points:
  • Danamon American Express Platinum Charge Card
  • Danamon American Express Gold Charge Card
  • Danamon American Express Green Charge Card
  • Danamon American Express GRCC Blue Credit Card
  • Danamon American Express GRCC Gold Credit Card
  • Danamon American Express Gold Business Card (SBS Gold) Credit Card
  • Danamon American Express Green Corporate Card
  • Danamon American Express Gold Corporate Card
  1. For every domestic and international transaction of Rp2,500 (two thousand five hundred rupiah), the Cardholder will receive 1 (one) Membership Rewards® Point ("Regular Membership Rewards® Point").
  2. Membership Rewards® Points earned will be credited to the Cardholder's Membership Rewards® Point account no later than 60 (sixty) calendar days, based on the accumulation of card transactions from the 1st to the end of the month that have been recorded in the Bank's system.
  3. If the Card is blocked and/or there is a bill arrears, then the Membership Rewards® Points earned during the period of being blocked and/or in arrears cannot be credited or will be forfeited.
  4. If the Cardholder cancels a transaction which results in the Cardholder no longer meeting these General Terms and Conditions, the Cardholder agrees that the Bank has the right to not credit Membership Rewards® Points to the Cardholder for that cancelled transaction.
  5. Transaksi Transactions excluded from earning Membership Rewards® Points are:
    • Cash advance transactions
    • Transactions converted into installments (my own installment)
    • Cancelled transactions
    • Money transfer transactions
    • Transactions converting the Card bill into installments (balance conversion).
  6. Specifically for bill payment transactions from PLN, the maximum Membership Rewards® Points equivalent to a maximum transaction of Rp10,000,000 (ten million rupiah) will be earned.
  7. If there is a discrepancy in the point calculation between the Cardholder's calculation and the Bank's system, the calculation recorded in the Bank's system shall prevail.
  1. Redemption of Membership Rewards® Points can only be done by Cardholders who have Membership Rewards® Points through the Redemption Channel or other channels provided by the Bank, including:
    1. Hello Danamon at 1-500-090 or Hello Danamon Email at hellodanamon@danamon.co.id.
    2. Platinum Card Service at (021)-3435-8889 or Platinum Card Service Email at the.platinum.card.amex@danamon.co.id for Danamon American Express Platinum Charge Cardholders.
    3. D-Bank PRO Application redemption items such as annual fee, shopping money, and shopping vouchers.
  1. Membership Rewards® Points can be redeemed for various product/service options ("Gifts") through the Redemption Channel.
  2. The terms and conditions for Membership Rewards® Points redemption will refer to the applicable terms and conditions of each type of Gift selected, which can be accessed at (shortlink to Membership Rewards Point e-catalogue).
  3. Membership Rewards® Points redemption can only be performed by the principal Cardholder.
  4. Membership Rewards® Points redemption for Airline Miles (Krisflyer, Asia Miles, Enrich, Garuda Miles, and Air Asia BIG Point) and hotel points (Hilton Honors and Marriott Bonvoy) can only be redeemed under the same name and membership number as the principal Cardholder.
  5. Membership Rewards® Points cannot be transferred to supplementary cardholders.
  6. Membership Rewards® Points converted/exchanged by the Cardholder cannot be cancelled.
  7. Gifts selected for redemption with Membership Rewards® Points cannot be returned or exchanged for cash or other types of rewards.
  8. In the event the Bank is unable to complete the delivery of the Gift, the Bank will return the redeemed Membership Rewards® Points to the principal Cardholder no later than 1 (one) month from the date of confirmation of the Membership Rewards® Point redemption.
  9. Membership Rewards® Points acquired by the Cardholder cannot be used or claimed if:
    a. If the Cardholder closes the Card, all accumulated Membership Rewards® Points will expire/be forfeited.
    b. If the Card is blocked or the Card status is in arrears, then the Cardholder cannot perform Membership Rewards® Point redemption.
  10. The Bank, based on a cooperation agreement, will be assisted by a third party in the process of exchanging Membership Rewards® Points for Gifts. Regarding this matter, the Cardholder provides consent to the Bank to disclose the Cardholder's personal data/information to the third party for the purpose of exchanging and delivering Gifts based on the Membership Rewards® Point redemption, and the Cardholder has understood the Bank's explanation regarding the purpose and consequences of providing such data/information.
There are no additional fees charged for any Membership Rewards® Point redemption.
  1. The Cardholder hereby grants power of attorney to the Bank to debit the amount of Membership Rewards® Points owned by the Cardholder, equivalent to the Membership Rewards® Points to be redeemed by the Cardholder for the selected Gift.
  2. The power of attorney granted by the Cardholder in relation to the debiting and conversion of Membership Rewards® Points into the Gift selected by the Cardholder under these General Terms and Conditions is granted with the right of substitution and remains in effect for as long as the Cardholder uses the Membership Rewards® Points and for as long as the Cardholder's obligations to the Bank have not been fully fulfilled. This power of attorney cannot be revoked or terminated for any reason, including but not limited to the causes specified in: Article 1813 (termination of power of attorney: by the principal revoking the power of attorney; by the agent declaring the termination of the power of attorney; due to the death, guardianship, or bankruptcy of either the principal or the agent), Article 1814 (the principal may revoke the power of attorney at their discretion and, if there is cause, may compel the agent to return the power of attorney held), and Article 1816 (the appointment of a new agent for the same matter revokes the prior power of attorney, effective from the date the prior agent is notified of such appointment) of the Indonesian Civil Code. This power of attorney constitutes an integral part of these General Terms and Conditions.
  1. The Cardholder hereby declares and warrants that every instruction to redeem Membership Rewards® Points for a Gift selected by the Cardholder is made in good faith, and the Cardholder requests the Bank to execute the instructions submitted by the Cardholder.
  2. The Cardholder agrees that every instruction for Membership Rewards® Points redemption from the Cardholder that is received and executed by the Bank in accordance with these General Terms and Conditions is true, complete, accurate, valid, and binding upon the Cardholder, and may serve as conclusive and perfect evidence of the Cardholder's request to place Membership Rewards® Points redemption before a Court of Law.
  3. The Cardholder hereby declares and agrees that the Bank has the right to record/log every instruction from the Cardholder submitted for the Membership Rewards® Points redemption, and such evidence of instructions and/or conversations (whether in the form of video recordings, images, transaction records, tapes/cartridges, and/or copies thereof) is agreed to be valid and binding evidence.
  4. The Cardholder declares that the Membership Rewards® Points redemption conducted by the Cardholder is initiated by the Cardholder themselves, without coercion from any party.
  5. In connection with the submission of instructions for the Membership Rewards® Points redemption that is based on the Cardholder's instructions, the Cardholder hereby declares:
    1. The Bank has absolute authority to accept or reject the Cardholder's instructions for the redemption of Membership Rewards® Points. If the instruction to redeem Membership Rewards® Points is executed by the Bank, the Cardholder hereby agrees that any proof of transaction for the redemption of Membership Rewards® Points, received by the Cardholder via the email address registered in the Bank's system, is recognized as valid and binding evidence for the Cardholder, proving conclusively that the Bank has executed the requested instruction.
    2. For the execution of the instruction to redeem Membership Rewards® Points or to carry out the instruction, if any additional requirements/documents and/or information from the Cardholder are necessary, the Cardholder is willing to fulfill/complete these requirements at any time by signing documents and/or submitting the information required by the Bank or by applicable laws and regulations, and accepts all consequences arising from the failure to meet these requirements.
  6. The Cardholder has acknowledged and understands that the Membership Rewards® Point redemption procedure carries potential risks, including but not limited to:
    1. Risks resulting from the Cardholder’s negligence or error, which may lead to, among others: (1) transactions not performed by the Cardholder; (2) the Cardholder’s data being accessed and used by unauthorized third parties;
    2. Failure to redeem Membership Rewards® Points for the Gift selected by the Cardholder due to failure/error on the part of the third-party Gift provider;
    3. Delays or failures in accessing information/data related to Membership Rewards® Points and/or in executing transactions instructed by the Cardholder, caused by, among others: force majeure (circumstances beyond control), use of Membership Rewards® Points that deviates from what has been established by the Bank under these General Terms and Conditions, or other causes beyond the Bank’s ability/control; and/or
    4. Data/information provided by the Bank being inaccurate/corrupted due to interference by parties attempting to infiltrate and damage data or other third parties acting in bad faith.
  7. The Cardholder has received, read, understood, and agreed to comply with these General Terms and Conditions, the applicable laws and regulations of the Republic of Indonesia, prevailing banking practices, and any other provisions set by the Bank regarding Membership Rewards® Points.
  8. The Cardholder declares that they have understood and will assume full responsibility for all Membership Rewards® Point redemption instructions outlined in these General Terms and Conditions, which have been approved by the Cardholder without coercion from any party. All risks arising from transactions conducted by the Bank in executing these instructions shall be the Cardholder’s sole responsibility.
  9. The Cardholder declares that they have read and understood these General Terms and Conditions and agree to be bound by and comply with all provisions contained herein.
  10. The Bank’s authority to accept Membership Rewards® Point redemption instructions shall continue until:
    1. The Cardholder’s request to terminate the Membership Rewards® Point redemption is received; or
    2. The Bank, at its discretion and based on its capacity, ceases to provide the Membership Rewards® Point redemption service to the Cardholder, with prior notice to the Cardholder in accordance with applicable regulations.
  1. The right to use Membership Rewards® Points may not be transferred for any reason, either part or as a whole, temporarily or permanently, to any other party without the prior written consent of the Bank. The Cardholder is responsible for any form of misuse of Membership Rewards® Points.
  2. The Cardholder is prohibited from disclosing to anyone and by any means any data/information of the Cardholder, as well as details, documents, or anything related to the Cardholder, during and after the use of Membership Rewards® Points, to prevent misuse of data by other parties.
  3. The Cardholder acknowledges and hereby agrees that any violation of the provisions referred to in points 1 and 2 will result in risks for the Cardholder and entitle the Bank to suspend/terminate the Membership Rewards® Points used by the Cardholder, with prior notice to the Cardholder.
  1. Force Majeure refers to any circumstance beyond the reasonable control of the Bank, which is unforeseeable and could not have been anticipated, making banking transactions impossible to continue or causing delays. Such events include, but are not limited to:
    1. Natural disasters, lightning strikes/attacks, earthquakes, floods, storms, explosions, fires, and other natural calamities;
    2. Epidemics, pandemics, or the imposition of quarantine measures;
    3. War, criminal acts, terrorism, insurrection, civil unrest, civil war, riots, sabotage, and revolution;
    4. Strikes;
    5. Computer virus infections, Trojan Horses, or harmful components that may disrupt services, web browsers, User computers, or Internet Service Providers; and
    6. Malfunctioning systems or transmissions, power outages, telecommunication disruptions, government policies, or banking system failures.
  2. The Bank shall not be deemed in default if such failure or delay arises due to Force Majeure.
  3. In the event of Force Majeure affecting the Bank, the Bank will notify the Cardholder through any available means regarding the occurrence of such Force Majeure circumstances.
  1. Other terms and conditions related to the Bank's products and/or services, to the extent not differently regulated in these General Terms and Conditions, are declared to remain in force and binding upon the Cardholder and form an integral part of these General Terms and Conditions.
  2. These General Terms and Conditions form an integral part of the "General Terms and Conditions of Account and Banking Services" or "Danamon Credit Card Membership General Terms and Conditions", "Danamon American Express Credit and Charge Card Membership General Terms and Conditions", "Danamon Mastercard Corporate Card General Terms and Conditions", "Danamon American Express Corporate Card General Terms and Conditions", and the "Terms and Conditions of each Gift". These terms and conditions shall remain in effect to the extent not otherwise regulated in these General Terms and Conditions.
  3. The Cardholder hereby agrees and acknowledges that the Bank has the right to amend/modify/supplement these General Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any changes/additions/updates to these General Terms and Conditions will be notified through the communication media available at the Bank. In the event of changes to benefits, risks, costs, terms and conditions based on these General Terms and Conditions, the Cardholder has the right to submit a written objection to the Bank within 30 (thirty) working days from the date the Bank notifies of such changes through the Bank's communication media. The Cardholder agrees that the Cardholder is deemed to have accepted the changes if no objection is raised within this period. If the Cardholder does not agree to the changes, the Cardholder has the right to cancel or terminate the Bank's service product after first settling all the obligations of the Cardholder to Bank Danamon (if any).
  4. The Cardholder declares that there are no and will be no transactions indicated to involve money laundering criminal acts and/or other transactions not permitted under the applicable laws and regulations in Indonesia.
  5. If there are indications of fraud, deception, transaction irregularities, unusual transactions, money laundering criminal acts and/or actions not in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, then Bank Danamon has the right to cancel the granting of Membership Rewards® Points and/or cancel the Membership Rewards® Point redemption transaction for the relevant Cardholder.
  6. If any provision in these General Terms and Conditions is prohibited or unenforceable or becomes invalid or is declared void by law due to a government or court determination, this shall not affect the validity of the other provisions in these General Terms and Conditions, and the other provisions shall remain in full force and effect and be enforceable as stipulated in these General Terms and Conditions. Regarding the prohibited or unenforceable provision, the Bank will adjust such provision and replace it with an enforceable provision in accordance with the Bank's policy.
  7. The headings and terms used in these General Terms and Conditions are solely for the purpose of facilitating understanding of the contents of these General Terms and Conditions.
  8. PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk is licensed and supervised by the Financial Services Authority (Otoritas Jasa Keuangan), and is a participant in the deposit insurance program of the Deposit Insurance Corporation (Lembaga Penjamin Simpanan).
  9. These General Terms and Conditions have been adjusted to comply with the provisions of applicable laws and regulations, including the regulations of the Financial Services Authority.


NOTICE
Cardholders must exercise caution regarding fraud perpetrated by individuals falsely claiming to represent Bank Danamon and promising rewards of any kind. All fraudulent or other criminal activities conducted by third parties associated with or acting in the name of the Program are beyond the authority of Bank Danamon.
