Following Success of Danamon Hadiah Beruntun Program, Danamon Gives Away Tesla to the Winner

Jakarta, 20 October 2023 – PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk (Danamon) celebrates the success of its innovative savings program called Danamon Hadiah Beruntun (DHB). The program was implemented from April to September 2023.  The success of the program, which has brought a positive impact on increasing Danamon's collection of third-party funds (DPK), has paved the way for the continuation of this program for the second period.

Following the conclusion of the program on September 2023, Danamon Hadiah Beruntun is set to hold the second draw for 3 Monthly Prizes in twelve regions throughout Indonesia, as well as a draw for the Grand Prize in the form of a Tesla as the main prize on Thursday (19/10/2023). This also marked the end of the first period of the DHB program.

In the first period of the Danamon Prize Series, more than 50,000 winners throughout Indonesia won various prizes, including monthly prizes in the form of cashback, quarterly prizes such as Innova Zenix Hybrid, Mitsubishi Xpander Exceed, precious golds, and shopping vouchers, as well as a grand prize in the form of a Tesla, Mercedes-Benz, precious golds, and shopping vouchers.

For the record, the Danamon Hadiah Beruntun program has brought a significant positive impact on Danamon's business, especially in collecting third party funds (DPK). Since the implementation of the program for the customers, there has been an increase in deposits for consumer business at Danamon approximately 6-8% within 6 months, in line with Danamon's long-term growth strategy framework that focuses on growing its consumer banking customer base in an organic and sustainable manner.  

On top of that, the Danamon Hadiah Beruntun program has also proven capable of maintaining loyalty from existing customers and attracting high interest from new customers, especially customers from Danamon Privilege & Danamon Optimal, reflected in the 3-fold increase in the number of new customers compared to the previous year. 

The positive results achieved through the Danamon Hadiah Beruntun program have shown that the program has a unique value proposition that sets it apart from other programs as this program provides customers with the opportunity to win bigger and win repeatedly.

Ivan Jaya, Consumer Funding & Wealth Business Head of PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk, stated that the enthusiasm of Danamon's existing and new customers indicates that the first period of the Danamon Hafiah Beruntun was a success.

According to Ivan, the Danamon Hadiah Beruntun program has also diversified DPK sources and strengthened the bank's overall liquidity, enabling the bank to maintain the availability of sufficient funds to meet customer needs and the bank's financial obligations. 

A higher level of deposits also increases the potential for bank performance, reduces the cost of funds (CoF), boost the bank’s competitiveness in disbursing credit with lower interest rates, and producing a more optimal net interest margin (NIM).

Ivan added that the Danamon Hadiah Beruntun program has provided positive encouragement for Danamon in achieving its growth goals and increasing customer engagement.
