Jakarta,
11 July 2024 – PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk (“Danamon”) is holding the third edition of Danamon Hadiah Beruntun (DHB) to appreciate the loyalty and support of its customers and to provide an engaging saving experience for them. This program aligns with Danamon’s strategy to grow alongside its customers as part of a financial group targeting double-digit growth in funding with sustainable profitability.
Under the themes “Everyone Can Win” and “Win Multiple Times”, Danamon has proven in previous DHB periods that there were customers who won prizes multiple times during the first, second, and grand prize draws. Additionally, the distribution of winners was even across Indonesia.
Ivan Jaya, Consumer Funding & Wealth Business Head, PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk, explained that during the two previous periods, the DHB program aligned with Danamon's target of achieving double-digit growth with sustainable profitability. As of Q1 2024, Danamon recorded a 14% YoY increase in total Third Party Funds (DPK) bank-wide, amounting to Rp143.2 trillion. Since its launch in April 2023, the DHB program has contributed to a 13% increase in Consumer Banking DPK in Rupiah.
This third period of DHB runs for a longer duration, from early June 2024 to 31 January 2025. This edition also features additional attractive elements, including a prize scheme that allows more people to win across a more inclusive segment of society, as customers only need to place Rp5 million and maintain an average balance above that amount for at least four months.
This period’s DHB is divided into several categories with various attractive prizes, including Monthly Instant Prizes, Regional Draw Prizes every four months in each of Danamon's 12 regions, and a Grand Prize Draw at the end of the program period. Ivan emphasized that the DHB program is also Danamon’s effort to support the government's program to increase financial inclusion. "Entering the third period, we see increasing enthusiasm from customers for the DHB program, as seen in the 162% increase in DHB participants from the first to the second period. In total, more than 2,500 customers from various regions in Indonesia have won various prizes, including monthly instant prizes, quarterly prizes, and grand prizes," he added.
Among these winners, the demographics of DHB participants are quite diverse. Most participants in the first period were entrepreneurs, private employees, college, and high school students, showing alignment with OJK’s target audience for increasing the financial inclusion index in 2024. DHB participants are spread across various regions, with the most participants from DKI Jakarta, West Java, North Sumatra, East Java, Banten, Central Java, Bali, Riau, South Sulawesi, and West Kalimantan.
"We aim to reach more customers and the public across Indonesia to participate. Therefore, this DHB period is longer, with more prestigious prizes and a more inclusive scheme. We also invite the public and customers from various backgrounds to save, contributing to the welfare of society and increasing Indonesia's Financial Inclusion Index. This aligns with Danamon's vision to Care and Help Millions of People Achieve Prosperity," concluded Ivan.
