"The collaboration between Danamon and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan is a manifestation of our commitment as a part of financial group supported by MUFG to provide holistic financial solutions to help our customers and strategic partners to grow and meet their financial needs. This collaboration will be a new business initiative for Danamon, and we are optimistic that we can increase the number of customers and transactions in the future. As one of the Bank Persepsi, Danamon also supports the program of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan and the government to expand the coverage of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan protection for every layer of society," said Ejima, President Director of PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk.

As known, as a customer centric bank, Danamon offers holistic financial solutions in accordance with the stages of people's lives. This is supported by Danamon's position as part of the MUFG group, with a broad ecosystem of services with the other group members: Adira Finance and Zurich Asuransi Indonesia, especially after the completion of the acquisition of Home Credit Indonesia by MUFG; Mandala Finance by Adira Finance; as well as the support of Danamon's strategic partners such as Akulaku, Grab, and Garuda Fund Venture Fund by MUFG Innovation Partners Co., Ltd (MUIP).

Committed to growing alongside our customers, we continuously improve the capabilities of our digital ecosystem, striving to offer holistic financial solution thru initiative and one such initiative is our collaboration with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan

Ejima added, to support this collaboration, Danamon provides various payment of contributions channels for BPJS Ketenagakerjaan participants and claim payments channels from BPJS Ketenagakerjaan. For employers or companies who need convenience in paying BPJS Ketenagakerjaan contributions for all their workers, companies can take advantage of Danamon Cash Connect (Corporate Internet Banking) and Open API.

Workers at this company also have the opportunity to get the extra benefit from the Danamon Group such as (1) Special fees/interest for Home Loans, Car / Motorcycle Loans by Adira Finance & Unsecured Loans (KTA), (2) Danamon credit card for employees with attractive features and benefit, (3) Employees can choose a Sharia or Conventional Payroll Account, and many more.

In addition, for informal workers or Non-Wage Earners (BPU) can use D-Bank PRO (mobile banking application) and Danamon Cash Connect (web banking) to pay the contribution. Danamon also expand the network of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan through collaboration with Adira Finance branch offices as payment points. Danamon also collaborates with digital partners, which currently have more than 100,000 payment points throughout Indonesia. This certainly makes the process of paying BPJS Ketenagakerjaan dues for informal workers easier.

In the future, Danamon will continue to be committed in expanding the reach and support to BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, thus it can provide convenient transactions for every customer and public who are participants of the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan. Future developments include accepting payment of contributions for BPJS Ketenagakerjaan through more than 1.000 ATM and 373 Danamon Branch Office channels and claim payments for Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) through remittance partners that allows collection of contributions and claim payments via convenient stores and e-commerce overseas.

“We are grateful to BPJS Ketenagakerjaan for trusting Danamon as one of Bank Persepsi and as partner in growth. With the network and service excellence that we have, Danamon is prepared to support the Indonesian society and government to improve the social security program and the welfare of Indonesian society," Ejima concluded.

At today's memorandum of understanding (MoU) signing ceremony, Anggoro Eko Cahyo, the CEO of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, expressed his appreciation to Danamon. “I would say, today's collaboration could serve as a promising gateway. We're starting with contributions and claim payment channels. However, looking ahead, there are many aspects that can be further synergized. The more stakeholders involved, the greater the protection for workers out there.”

"Currently, we serve 40 million workers, but there are still 60 million who remain unprotected, where the majority are informal workers. Their challenge lies in the ease of paying contributions. Therefore, we must encourage and facilitate them by providing accessible channels” Anggoro concluded.
