TOKYO // JAKARTA, May 21, 2025 – JCB International Co., Ltd., the international operations subsidiary of JCB Co., Ltd., Japan's only international payment brand (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Takayoshi Futae) (Hereinafter, the three companies are collectively referred to as “JCB”.) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Noage International Inc.(Headquarters:Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO :Tetsuro Yoshihara) (Hereinafter "NI ") which operates a medical and health checkup business, to expand the "JCB Advanced Medical Tourism Program" to promote advanced medical tourism to Japan for wealthy Indonesians, which has been offered since 2023. The program is designed to promote advanced medical tourism to Japan for affluent Indonesians.)
On the same occasion, NI signed a Memorandum of Understanding with PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk (Head Office: Jakarta, Indonesia; represented by Global Alliance Strategy Director: Jin Yoshida) for Danamon Privilege Banking customers who hold Danamon JCB Precious cards will receive the special service benefits of the JCB Exclusive Medical Tourism Program, benefits that are also obtained by JCB Indonesia Ultimate cardholders.
Partnership Overview
Medical tourism is growing among Indonesia's affluent population, who are traveling overseas to access advanced medical services. Currently, Singapore and Malaysia are popular destinations, while Japan faces challenges such as language barriers that limit access to medical services.
To address this, JCB launched the “JCB Advanced Medical Tourism Program” in October 2023, offering medical tourism services for Indonesia's affluent population in Osaka, Japan. In August 2024, the program expanded to Tokyo, providing Indonesian customers with access to medical services in Japan.
Through this partnership, we are expanding our services to allow customers to choose between Tokyo Midtown Clinic (Roppongi) and Nihonbashi Muromachi Mitsui Tower Midtown Clinic, which are affiliated with NI. Additionally, for Ultimate members holding JCB cards issued in Indonesia, we will provide free health check-up services at the above two facilities. (*)
Furthermore, we will support preparations for visits to Japan related to medical tourism (arrangements for flights, accommodation, transportation, etc.) through our partner travel agency in Indonesia, and provide a special hospitality program for visits to Japan, including individual arrangements for sightseeing and JCB's preferential services in Japan.
