Chandra Asri Group and Danamon Sign Rp2 Trillion Term Loan to Support Infrastructure Business Expansion

Jakarta, 28 February 2025 – Chandra Asri Group, through its infrastructure investment entity, PT Chandra Daya Investasi (CDI), has signed a term loan facility agreement worth IDR 2 trillion with PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk (Danamon) with a tenor of seven (7) years. The agreement was signed by Jonathan Kandinata, Director of CDI, and Roberto Trio, Senior Vice President, Enterprise Banking Business Head of Danamon. The funds will be used to support CDI’s overall operations and business development, while also strengthening the company's working capital for executing strategic projects.

The facility received by CDI is a committed term loan that can be allocated for green asset projects such as renewable energy, sustainable water and wastewater management, energy efficiency, and others.

Through CDI, Chandra Asri Group is strengthening its business resilience by diversifying into the infrastructure sector. This infrastructure investment special purpose vehicle is a joint venture with EGCO, the Electricity Generating Public Company Limited of Thailand. CDI is primarily focused on power generation and energy distribution, water treatment, tank and jetty management, and logistics. This strategic initiative aligns with the company's focus to strengthen its position in the infrastructure sector that has touchpoints with Chandra Asri Group’s energy and chemicals business, to fundamentally support Indonesia's growth.
