Danamon Peduli Donates to PMI, Reaffirms Commitment to Sustainably Overcome COVID-19

Desember 23, 2020 – The non-profit organization Danamon Peduli Foundation (YDP) once again supported efforts to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic by donating IDR 184,227,410 to the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) this day in Jakarta.

“Towards the end of the year, Danamon Peduli Foundation increased efforts to support the government and other stakeholders in preventing the spread of COVID-19. On this occasion, we provided assistance to PMI which shares the same spirit as YDP in mitigating the impact of this pandemic, especially for the people who need the most aid. The donation also signifies our appreciation to PMI which has played a major role in maintaining the health and safety of Indonesians. We hope that our donation can provide further benefits and contribute positively to PMI's mission to always help the needy, especially during this challenging time," said YDP Chairman Abdul Hadi.

The donation amounted to Rp. 184,277,410,- representing funds collected from stakeholders who channeled their donations through YDP. This forms part of a series of awareness campaigns actively organized by Danamon Peduli Foundation and Bank Danamon intended for Indonesians to overcome the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. Previously, Bank Danamon distributed more than 11,000 PPEs in collaboration with Indonesia Strong, an NGO supported by the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) and Bank Danamon regional branches. Danamon also distributed 12,000 food packages in work areas across 26 provinces, and cash donations worth over IDR 1 billion to assist Grab and Gojek online-transport drivers through BenihBaik and Anak Bangsa Bisa Foundation (YABB). In coordination with the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) and support of BP Jamsostek, Danamon applied insurance coverage to 10,000 Covid-19 volunteers.
