Jakarta, 15 November 2017. PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk (Danamon) announces 5 recipients of Danamon Entrepreneur Awards (DEA) 2017, an initiative of Danamon to provide appreciation on the achievements of Indonesian entrepreneurs. DEA 2017 received submissions from 607 applicants and is now down to 5 recipients who are divided into the Small and Medium Enterprises (SME), Social Entrepreneur, and Fintech categories. The recipients will be awarded during the DEA 2017 awarding night on 6 December 2017. During the same event, the favorite recipient will also be announced based on the results of the public voting.
The DEA 2017 recipients are Nike Lidiyastuti Aritovani from Ambon who produces skipjack tuna floss from the Best Small Entrepreneur category and Gibran Chuzaefah Amsi El Farizy from Bandung who manages an E-Fishery business from the Best Medium Entrepreneur category. For the Social Entrepreneur category, Juries selected Irma Suryati from Kebumen who sets up a handicraft business that empowers disabled employees.
For the Best Fintech category, Adrian Gunadi from PT Investree Radhika Jaya is selected as recipient by the Juries. Meanwhile, Marshall Pribadi from PT Privy Identitas Digital is the recipient in the Most Promising Fintech category.
“We congratulate this year’s recipients. They have shown the strengths of SMEs in providing positive impact to the economy, the welfare of the surrounding communities, and innovation culture. We hope that Danamon Entrepreneur Awards, which focuses on the SME segment as the backbone of the country’s economy, can encourage and instill an entrepreneurial spirit in Indonesia,” said Gunawan Te, Small Medium Entreprise Business Head Danamon.
The public are invited to participate in the awarding process by casting a vote for their favorite recipient. The voting process can be done by visiting the www.danamonawards.org website between 19 November 2017 and 5 December 2017.

The recipients were selected based on a two-phase selection and judging process conducted by a board of juries composed of T. M. Zakir Machmud Ph.D – Head of SME Center, Faculty of Economy University of Indonesia (LPEM FEUI), Ir. Yuana Setiowati Barnas, MM – Deputy for Financing of the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, Restu Pratiwi – Executive Director of Yayasan Danamon Peduli, Junanto Herdiawan – Interim Fintech Head of Bank Indonesia, Ardian Taufik Gesuri – Chief Editor of Kontan Daily, Sebastian Togelang – Founding Partner of Kejora Ventures.
