Terapkan Inovasi Baru Danamon dan Investree Raih Penghargaan The Asset Triple A

Jakarta  – Reflecting their commitment to Indonesian families, Bank Danamon Indonesia and Manulife Indonesia today announced the launch of Proteksi Prima Masa Depan (PPMD), an individual endowment insurance policy that will help customers to prepare their legacy for family members and the next generation.

“Danamon and Manulife Indonesia continue to offer a wide range of protection solutions to customers. There will always be uncertainty in life, but Danamon and Manulife Indonesia are strongly committed to helping our customers navigate future risks, which is where Proteksi Prima Masa Depan can play an important part. We hope the PPMD can be a solution for our customers’ financial needs for a better future,” said Michellina Triwardhany, Vice President Director of Bank Danamon Indonesia.

Since the start of the pandemic in 2020, customer interest in life insurance has grown. According to Indonesian Life Insurance Associatoin (AAJI), there was an 82% increase in life insurance revenues between the third and fourth quarter of 2020. Furthermore, the same data shows that the total new premium income from bancassurance rose from Rp63 trillion in the fourth quarter of 2019 to Rp71 trillion a year later. This growing interest in life insurance supports Bank Danamon and Manulife Indonesia’s common commitment to meeting the protection needs of Indonesian families.

That growing appetite for insurance during the pandemic was similarly evident in the Manulife Asia Care Survey 2020, which showed 72% of policyholders planning to purchase additional policies over the following 18 months. It’s a percentage that was far higher than the average in Asia (62%). Meanwhile, 30% of the Indonesian survey respondents expressed interest in purchasing additional life insurance policies.

Planning for your future starts now. Proteksi Prima Masa Depan offers a variety of benefits that you need for your future and enables sound financial planning amid the uncertainties that Covid-19 has caused. This is an innovative endowment insurance that is here to answer the needs of Indonesians looking to build a legacy and protect the future of their loved ones. With this insurance, the policyholder can receive 100% of its benefit at maturity, plus death benefit in the event of an accident. With this product, policyholders can better plan their legacy, especially the legacy that they can pass on to the next generation,” said Ryan Charland, CEO & President Director of Manulife Indonesia.

Presently, there are more than 2,400 high net worth customers of Bank Danamon and Manulife Indonesia. The majority of them are located in Jakarta, with others in Bandung, Surabaya and Medan. It
means there’s a need for Danamon and Manulife Indonesia to continue innovating, while offering protection and financial planning solutions, for the affluent segment with long-term protection to help prepare their legacy.
