PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk (Bank Danamon), through its Sharia Business Unit (UUS), has been designated as a Deposit Receiving Bank - Hajj Organiser Fees (BPS-BIPIH) by the Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH), providing convenience for members of the Hajj community and prospective pilgrims to access Bank Danamon services, particularly the Special Hajj Deposit Payment Service through Bank Danamon branches, which is a Special Hajj deposit payment service in US dollars (USD).

  1. TRUSTED, Special Hajj registration is carried out by the Special Hajj Organiser (PIHK)/trusted partner travel agency in collaboration with Bank Danamon and registered with the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
  2. EASY, Initial deposits for Special Hajj can be made at any Bank Danamon branch office, without customers being required to open an account.
  3. CONVENIENT, Special Hajj pilgrims can also save regularly through a savings plan to prepare for the final payment of the Special Hajj through Bank Danamon.

Terms and Conditions of Service

  1. The following are the terms and conditions for Special Hajj Deposit Payments through Bank Danamon that must be met:
    1. Payment made by Bank Danamon’s PIHK/Travel Agency Partner
      • Special Hajj deposit payments can be made by PIHK/Travel Agencies that have collaborated with Bank Danamon, covering Special Hajj services and proven by bringing a Special Hajj Registration Letter (SPH) or Hajj Departure Registration Letter (SPPH) from the Ministry of Religious Affairs Office.
      • The fee that must be prepared by PIHK/Travel Agencies for special Hajj deposit payments is USD 4,000 per pilgrim.
    2. Payment Made by Special Hajj Pilgrims
      • Special Hajj deposit payments can be made by special Hajj pilgrims who have registered for special Hajj through PIHK/Travel Agencies that have collaborated with Bank Danamon, as evidenced by bringing a Special Hajj Registration Letter (SPH) or Hajj Departure Registration Letter (SPPH) from the Ministry of Religious Affairs Office.
      • The fee that pilgrims need to prepare to make a special Hajj deposit payment is USD 4,000.

Risk

The following are the risks associated with the Special Hajj Deposit Payment Service through Bank Danamon:

  1. Hajj deposit payments cannot be made if the prospective pilgrim and/or PIHK/travel agency partner of Bank Danamon does not complete the Special Hajj Registration Letter (SPH) or Hajj Departure Order Letter (SPPH) issued by the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
  2. Special Hajj deposit payments cannot be made by PIHK/Travel Agencies that are not partners of Bank Danamon.
  3. Special Hajj deposit payments cannot be made by prospective pilgrims who have not registered for special Hajj with PIHK/Travel Agencies that are partners of Bank Danamon.
  4. Prospective Hajj pilgrims and/or PIHK/travel agencies do not receive proof of special Hajj deposit.
  5. The special Hajj deposit payment process fails due to network connection issues.

Requirements and Procedures

The procedure for paying Special Hajj deposits through Danamon Bank Branches is as follows:

  1. Pilgrims Come Directly to Danamon Bank Branch Offices
    • Prospective Special Hajj pilgrims can visit any Bank Danamon branch that handles sharia transactions to enquire about the Special Hajj registration process.
    • The branch will inform prospective Special Hajj pilgrims that Special Hajj registration can be done through PIHK/travel agencies that are partners of Bank Danamon.
    • Prospective pilgrims should visit a PIHK/travel agency that is a partner of Bank Danamon to register for the Special Hajj, bringing the following documents:
      • ▪ Minimum age of 12 years
      • ▪ Fill out the special Hajj registration form
      • ▪ Photocopy of E-KTP
      • ▪ Copy of Family Card (KK)
      • ▪ Copy of Diploma/Marriage Certificate/Birth Certificate
      • ▪ Copy of Passport (for those who already have a passport)
      • ▪ Passport-sized photo or soft copy of 3x4 and 4x6 photos with a white background
      • ▪ Complete the Hajj registration documents (power of attorney, statement, and agreement) provided by PIHK/travel agency partnered with Bank Danamon
    • PIHK/Travel Agencies process the registration of prospective Special Hajj Pilgrims through the Ministry of Religious Affairs application until they obtain proof of the Hajj Departure Order (SPPH) from the Ministry of Religious Affairs office.
    • PIHK/Travel Agencies or prospective special hajj pilgrims come to the Bank Danamon branch office to make the Special Hajj Initial Deposit.
    • There are two mechanisms for paying the special hajj deposit through Bank Danamon, as follows:
      • ▪ Conducted by PIHK/Travel Agency
      • ▪ Conducted by prospective special pilgrims
    • Bank Danamon processes special hajj deposits and credits the funds to the Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH) account. Bank officials are required to submit proof of the initial special hajj deposit.
    • PIHK/travel agencies or prospective pilgrims receive proof of the special hajj deposit from the bank, signed and stamped by a bank official as proof of payment for the special hajj.
  2. Pilgrims Come Directly to PIHK/Bank Danamon Partner Travel Agency
    • Prospective pilgrims come to PIHK/Travel Agency to register for Special Hajj, bringing the following documents:
      • ▪ Minimum age of 12 years
      • ▪ Fill out the registration form
      • ▪ Photocopy of E-KTP
