This strong momentum was further supported by the disbursement of religious festivity allowance (THR), which was utilized for a wide range of purposes, including savings, payments for zakat, infaq, alms, and waqf (ZISWAF), as well as shopping, consumption, and mudik preparations.

Indonesian Ministry of Transportation recorded that 154.62 million people undertook mudik travel during Eid al-Fitr in 2025, equivalent to around 54.9 percent of Indonesia’s total population, underscoring the very high level of public mobility during this period. Public transportation usage also increased by 11.7 percent compared with the previous year, with rail and sea transport experiencing particularly strong growth.
