Information

Following the issuance of Financial Services Authority Regulation (POJK) No. 24 of 2025 concerning Account Management at Commercial Banks, which took effect on 10 November 2025, we would like to inform you that adjustments will be made to the status of Customers’ Savings and Current Accounts. The adjustments are scheduled to take effect in phases from 1 May 2026 and include the classification of Current and Savings Account status as follows:

  1. Active Account, an account with deposit, withdrawal or balance enquiry activity.
  2. Inactive Account, an account with no deposit, withdrawal or balance enquiry activity for more than 360 days or 12 months (the account is classified as inactive on day 361 or in month 13).
  3. Dormant Account, an account with no deposit, withdrawal or balance enquiry activity for more than 1,800 days or 60 months (the account is classified as dormant on day 1,801 or in month 61).

Based on the explanation above, the following adjustments will be made to Customer account status during the phased implementation:

  1. Accounts currently classified as active will remain Active Accounts.
  2. Accounts with the following functions will be classified as Active Accounts:
    1. Accounts for specific purposes, such as accounts linked to credit facilities, designated for Hajj purposes or used to purchase investment products.
    2. Accounts with a term feature, such as term savings accounts.
    3. Accounts subject to a dispute, such as accounts blocked by law enforcement authorities in connection with a legal matter.
  3. Accounts outside the Active Account categories in items 1 and 2 above will be classified as Inactive Accounts.
  4. The Inactive Accounts referred to in item 3 above will subsequently become Dormant Accounts on day 1,441 or after 48 months.

Another provision under POJK No. 24 of 2025 requires the Bank to automatically close Current and Savings Accounts that maintain a zero (0) balance for 6 (six) months, or the equivalent of 180 (one hundred and eighty) days. To prevent a Savings or Current Account from becoming inactive or dormant, Customers should continue making debit or credit transactions, check their balances regularly and enjoy the various attractive offers available from Bank Danamon.
