Jakarta, 26 September 2025 – PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk (“Danamon”, IDX: BDMN) has been recognized with the Top GRC Awards 2025 in Jakarta on Monday (8/9). The award honors companies that have established strong systems and infrastructure in governance, risk management, and compliance (GRC), and that demonstrate excellence in implementing good corporate governance (GCG), effective risk management, and compliance practices to support sustainable business performance. At this year’s event, Danamon received the TOP GRC Award 4-Star (Very Good). On the same occasion, Danamon’s President Director, D. Ejima, was honored with the Most Committed GRC Leader 2025 award.
D. Ejima, President Director of Danamon, stated, “The awards that we received are a testament to our commitment to implementing good corporate governance across all levels of the organization, beginning from the leadership, embedded as inseparable culture shared by all individuals working for Danamon. Amidst the changing global dynamics, these awards inspire us to further strengthen our governance, risk management, and compliance, so that we can continue to earn the trust of our stakeholders, including our customers, regulators, and the society at large.”
Rita Mirasari, Compliance Director of Danamon, said, “We are deeply grateful to our customers for their trust, and to all Danamon employees whose dedication made this achievement possible. The Top GRC Awards 2025 is a recognition of Danamon’s continuous efforts in applying the principles of good corporate governance, risk management, and compliance across our business and operations. This reflects our ongoing commitment to driving sustainable business growth while contributing to the Indonesian economy.”
The Top GRC Awards have been organized since 2019 by Top Business magazine, in collaboration with leading institutions and experts in governance, risk management, and compliance. In 2025, a total of 134 companies took part in the assessment, marking a 20% increase from the previous year. The evaluation was carried out independently by a panel of judges comprising business practitioners, academics, and representatives of professional associations. This year’s awards adopted the theme “Resilience to Sustainability: Leading Through GRC,” underscoring the role of GRC as a strategic instrument to navigate uncertainty and foster sustainable business growth.
Danamon believes that the implementation of good corporate governance (GCG) is essential for achieving stable and sustainable business growth, while also enhancing the company’s value in both the short and long term. Guided by five core principles, namely transparency, accountability, responsibility, independence, and fairness, Danamon implements GCG through established processes and mechanisms that are periodically assessed across three key dimensions: governance structure, governance process, and governance outcome. Furthermore, as the operational financial holding company of the MUFG Financial Conglomerate in Indonesia, Danamon applies integrated governance practices in collaboration with other financial services institutions that are part of the MUFG Financial Conglomerate.
This recognition will further inspire Danamon to consistently deliver holistic and tailored financial solutions that meet customers’ needs, while continuing to innovate in order to earn and maintain their trust and loyalty. In doing so, Danamon remains committed to prioritizing compliance, prudence, and good governance in all of its business activities.
