  • Danamon introduces a debit card for its Danamon LEBIH PRO Savings account, the Danamon Global Currency Card.
  • Relaunches the Danamon American Express® Gold Rose Gold Card – the first in Southeast Asia with a variety of new rewards for travel, dining, and shopping #MyGoldRewards.

  • In commemoration of its 69th anniversary, Danamon launches a Special Edition Helmet as a symbol of strength, resilience, and the spirit of collaboration. This initiative is inspired by a meaningful philosophy: while a helmet does not fully eliminate risk, it gives the user courage. It protects and encourages one’s inner creativity. The helmet is not a symbol of collision, but rather a reflection of unity and care. This helmet is creatively designed in collaboration with local illustrator Tahilalats and produced by Cargloss.

2024

  • Danamon through the Sharia Business Unit, for the first time held the Danamon Syariah Travel Fair (DSTF).

  • Danamon together with Adira Finance and supported by MUFG become the sponsor of Indonesia International Motor Show 2022 as Official Bank Partner and Official Multifinance Partner.
  • Danamon announced officially the reopening of two branch offices at the end of 2022 which are Medan Putri Hijau in Medan, North Sumatera and Pondok Indah Mall 2 in Jakarta. This inauguration was carried out to officially welcome the Next-Generation Branch concept for a holistic banking experience at these two branch offices as part of Danamon’s commitment to provide banking and financial solutions that are most suitable with customer’s needs.

  • Bank Danamon on 27 May 2020 has been upgraded to BUKU 4 by the Financial Services Authority (OJK).
  • Danamon launched Danamon Optimal, a financial solution to optimize customer finances for upwardly mobile segment. Danamon Optimal offers financial solutions to manage customers' wants, needs and finances.
  • Danamon received the Best Digital Bank 2020: Indonesia by Asiamoney at the 2020 Asiamoney Best Bank Award. This is the third award for Best Digital Bank by Bank Danamon, which previously achieved similar achievements in 2017 and 2018.
  • Danamon received the Asia Trailblazer Award by Retail Banker International (RBI) with the title Highly Commended in the Best Digital Banking Initiative category. RBI is a research and media institution around the world retail banking industry.

2019

  • Launched D-Bank, mobile banking application which enables customers do financial transaction anytime, anywhere.
  • Danamon and Bank Nusantara Parahyangan (BNP) completed their legal merger process.

  • Launched D-BisMart, first application in Indonesia that enables business owner and Financial Supply Chain (FSC) Community in managing items order conveniently.
  • Danamon, a member of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, Inc. (“MUFG”) affirmed its commitment to support the growth of Financial Technology (FinTech) industry in Indonesia by announcing its plans to distribute funds from MUFG Innovation Partners Co., Ltd (MUIP) to FinTech startup companies that have formed strategic partnerships with Bank Danamon.
  • Partner with MUFG Jakarta Branch hosted their first joint Business Matching Fair, bringing together Japanese, Indonesian and Southeast Asian corporate clients to network and explore business opportunities.
  • Danamon has completed the sale of 70% share ownership in PT Asuransi Adira Dinamika Tbk (“Adira Insurance”), its general insurance subsidiary to Zurich Insurance Company Ltd (“Zurich”).
  • Signed a dealer financing agreement with PT Mercedes-Benz Distribution Indonesia (“MBDINA”) and PT Daimler Commercial Vehicles Indonesia (“DCVI”), subsidiaries of Daimler AG in Indonesia. The agreement allows dealer partners of both companies to access financing from Bank Danamon. This partnership is a result of collaboration with MUFG, as the controlling shareholder of Bank Danamon, which has a strong relationship with Daimler AG, the parent company in Germany, connecting Bank Danamon with its Indonesia subsidiaries.

2018

  • Launched D-Wallet, digital wallet application that can be used to make online or offline payment and shopping.
  • Launched Syariah Mortgage, a mortgage product house with the first Syariah settlement launched by Danamon thorough its Syariah unit using IMBT (hire and purchase), where customers can own house or place to stay with hire and purchase system ended by changes of ownership at the end of rent.
  • Launched Hajj Saving by Danamon Syariah, in which Danamon has been appointed as the Hajj Financial Management Office (BPKH) to us as Recipient Bank for Hajj Pilgrimage Fund Deposit (BPS-BPIH). As BPS-BPIH, Danamon Syariah has been entrusted with a duty to serve Hajj pilgrimage registration and payment, in cooperation with the Ministry of Religious Affairs and BPKH. Additionally, Danamon Syariah is also assigned the roles of Placement Bank, Investment Partner Bank, and Value Management Bank to support BPKH in managing Hajj pilgrimage funds.
  • Completion of 40.0% Investment in Bank Danamon by MUFG Bank.
  • Danamon announced it has entered into a Conditional Sales and Subscription Agreement (CSSA) with Zurich Insurance Company Ltd (“Zurich”), for the sale of 70% share ownership in PT Asuransi Adira Dinamika (“Adira Insurance”), its general insurance subsidiary.
  • Danamon received the Best Digital Bank: Indonesia award from Asiamoney during the Asiamoney Best Bank Award 2018 awarding night in Beijing, People’s Republic of China, on 18 September 2018. This is the second consecutive Best Digital Bank award received by Bank Danamon.
  • Launched Application Programming Interface (API) Central, also known as open API or open banking, which enables customers to connect directly with the Bank when performing either financial or nonfinancial transactions. This service answers the need to be fast and agile in the digital age, whereby banks are called upon to provide digital services that is fast, secured, and convenient.

2017

  • Acquisition plan of Danamon shares by MUFG.
  • MUFG acquires 19% of Danamon shares from its principal shareholder, Asia Financial (Indonesia) Pte. Ltd. (“AFI”), a subsidiary of Fullerton Financial Holdings Pte. Ltd. (“FFH”).
  • Launched Danamon Connect, an integrated financial transaction service to facilitate and help customers of enterprise banking segment, from corporate, commercial, financial institutions, and small and medium enterprises (SME).
  • Launched DPoint, a point reward program for customers.

  • Launched the Ponsel D-Cash feature.
  • Signed Cooperation Agreement with Yayasan Pesantren Islam Al Azhar, Danamon Syariah provides financing and comprehensive Islamic banking service to YPIA.
  • Inaugurates new head office Menara Bank Danamon and launched Laku Pandai, branchless banking program conducted in five cities across Indonesia.
