According to data from the Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps (Korlantas Polri), as of April 2026, the total motor vehicle population in East Java reached 26.9 million units, representing approximately 15.4% of the national total. This figure not only reflects the region’s high level of economic and mobility activity, but also reinforces East Java’s position as the largest contributor to Indonesia’s overall vehicle population.
