Danamon and Adira Finance, Supported by MUFG, Return to IIMS Surabaya 2026 to Present Holistic Financial Solutions
Surabaya, 26 May 2026 – PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk
(“Danamon”) and PT Adira Dinamika Multi Finance Tbk (“Adira Finance”),
supported by MUFG Bank, Ltd. (“MUFG”), reaffirm their participation in the
Indonesia International Motor Show (“IIMS”) Surabaya 2026 as the Official Bank
Partner, Official Multifinance Partner, and Official Trade-In Partner. Their
presence as One Financial Group at the event, taking place from May 26 to 31,
2026, marks the fifth consecutive year of collaboration, building on the
success of their participation at IIMS Jakarta held in February 2026.
As one of Indonesia’s key economic centers, East Java is the second-largest
contributor to national GDP, with Surabaya serving as a primary driver of the
province’s economic growth. The city’s economic structure dominated by the
wholesale and retail trade sector, as well as car and motorcycle repair
services highlights the strong linkage between local economic activity and the
automotive industry. By the end of 2025, data from Statistics Indonesia (BPS)
recorded approximately 3.8 million registered vehicles in Surabaya, making it
the largest contributor to total vehicle ownership in East Java. In line with
the shift toward sustainable mobility, the number of electric vehicles in the
city has also continued to grow significantly on an annual basis.
At the national level, East Java continues to demonstrate its strategic role
as a key contributor to the growth of Indonesia’s motor vehicle sector.
According to data from the Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps (Korlantas
Polri), as of April 2026, the total motor vehicle population in East Java
reached 26.9 million units, representing approximately 15.4% of the national
total. This figure not only reflects the region’s high level of economic and
mobility activity, but also reinforces East Java’s position as the largest
contributor to Indonesia’s overall vehicle population.
Beyond its role as a major automotive market, Surabaya also serves as a
strategic hub for the flow of goods, services, and investment to Eastern
Indonesia, including Sulawesi, Bali, Nusa Tenggara, and Maluku-Papua. This
position underscores Surabaya’s importance as a critical node within the
national automotive industry supply chain, spanning both upstream and
downstream activities.
In line with this strategic role, the collaboration between Danamon, Adira
Finance, and MUFG as One Financial Group forms a strong foundation for
delivering holistic financial solutions to the community. By leveraging MUFG’s
global network alongside the extensive local reach of Danamon and Adira
Finance, this synergy continues to be strengthened to address increasingly
dynamic automotive financing needs, including supporting the growth of
