Danamon Partners with Battle of Schools to Provide Sustainable Financial Solutions

image press release

Jakarta, 3 December 2025 - As a bank that supports customers at every stage of life, PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk (“Danamon”) invites parents across Indonesia to leverage its financial solutions in securing a brighter future for the next generation. The initiative was announced in conjunction with Danamon’s role as a Gold Sponsor of the padel tournament titled “Battle of Schools: Parents Edition.”

The event was designed to serve as a platform that connects families and schools within the same sports community. The event was held at Padel Pro Satrio Club, Kuningan, Jakarta, on Saturday, 22 November 2025. Presented in an interactive format, the sporting event not only highlights the matches but also features a variety of off-court activities in a festive atmosphere, providing participants with opportunities to expand their networks and explore future collaborations.

Eka Dinata, Branch Network Head of PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk, stated that the event not only promotes a healthy lifestyle among participants but also showcases a comprehensive range of financial services designed to effectively meet their financial needs.

“Danamon’s participation in the ‘Battle of Schools: Parents Edition’ reflects our strong commitment to supporting strategic collaborative initiatives. The event also provides an opportunity to expand our customer base and enhance brand awareness within the community. We are present through various flagship programs, including the opening of Danamon LEBIH PRO Savings at the Danamon booth, offering an exclusive promotion featuring a specially designed helmet. Danamon remains committed to building a mutually beneficial ecosystem through sustainable initiatives and strong synergies with its customers,” said Eka Dinata.

The event was organized by Cornerstone Collective and hosted by the SNAC (Samburan Nunggu Anak Club) Padel Community, with support from Metro Padel—a part of Metro Tennis Terminal—as the main sponsor and scoring partner, and Demi Padel, which provided court officials and managers to ensure the smooth execution of the matches. The event brought together 80 parents representing 10 prominent schools across Jakarta.

“Metro Tennis Terminal has been an integral part of Indonesia’s racket sports scene for nearly five decades. Through Metro Padel, we continue that legacy by fostering the growth of padel and strengthening community connections through the sport,” said Jay Kuckreja, Managing Director of Metro Tennis Terminal.

On the same occasion, SNAC Community Co-Founder Michael Luhukay added that the event presents an opportunity for the school community to connect in new ways that have never been possible before.

“We recognize that padel naturally brings people together. This event demonstrates that parents share the same competitive spirit, passion, and sense of community as their children. We also believe that our concept offers a unique and distinctive experience within Jakarta,” said Michael Luhukay.

Meanwhile, the tournament offers a total prize pool of Rp325 million, distributed across various categories. The championship title, along with cash and product prizes worth Rp128 million, was awarded to the Anglo-Chinese School (ACS) Tigers team. Meanwhile, the Jakarta Intercultural School (JIS) Dragons claimed the runner-up position, receiving prizes totaling Rp78 million.

To keep participant enthusiasm high, the tournament featured a variety of engaging activities, including karaoke sessions in the Volvo XC90, fitness challenges by Anytime Fitness, target-shooting games hosted by Danamon, and smash challenges at the Metro Padel Playground. The event also received support from Silver Sponsors, including Corkcicle, Red Bull, V-Kool, and Maritim Bags. Meanwhile, International SOS supported the event by providing on-site medical services, including doctors, nurses, and ambulance facilities.

“The sponsors’ contribution in providing prizes, experiences, and on-site activities plays an important role in revitalizing the community ecosystem. We hope this collaboration will continue to strengthen the event as a platform where sports, lifestyle, and school communities can come together,” Eka Dinata concluded.

After witnessing the strong enthusiasm from parents, schools, and sponsors, Cornerstone Collective (@cornerstone.eo) and SNAC (@snacpadel) plan to bring back Battle of Schools: Parents Edition in 2026, with Metro Padel and Metro Tennis Terminal continuing to play a key role in developing Jakarta’s padel ecosystem and inter-school events.
