Danamon, Manulife Indonesia and Universitas Prasetiya Mulya Collaborate to Present the Prasmul EduWealth as a Solution to Prepare a Prominent Generation Through Education Financial Planning
Jakarta, 6 October 2025 – Based on data from BPS - Statistics Indonesia, the annual inflation rate for the education category in August 2024, coinciding with the new student enrollment period, stood at 1.83 percent. This rate was higher than the overall annual inflation in 2024, recorded at 1.57 percent. Between 2015 and 2024, annual inflation in education costs surpassed the general annual inflation in several periods . Furthermore, a 2021 BPS - Statistics Indonesia’s survey indicated that urban households allocated an average of 11–15 percent of their total monthly expenditure to education, reflecting a considerable financial burden on families. In parallel, the World Bank’s report The Promise of Education in Indonesia underscores that high quality education serves as the fundamental basis for developing a highly competitive workforce.
