Earned a Bachelor of Arts and Science degree, majoring in international studies in 1995 at The Johns Hopkins University.
Work Experience
Toshiya Shobayashi started his career in banking when he joined Bank of Tokyo, a predecessor bank of MUFG Bank, in 1995. He was assigned to Singapore in 2011 as Senior Manager in International Credit Division. In 2014, transferred to Global Corporate Banking Division of Asia & Oceania in Singapore and served as Head of Regional Business Development Department until 2018. Held the position of General Manager for Spain and Portugal in Spain until June 2022.
