Jakarta, 9 May 2025 – PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk (“Danamon”, IDX: BDMN), a member of MUFG, a global financial group, and 6Estates Pte Ltd (“6Estates”), a Singapore-based enterprise artificial intelligence specialist, today announced a strategic partnership to empower Danamon’s lending processes with artificial intelligence (“AI”). This partnership marks a key milestone in Danamon’s digital transformation journey and supports the group-wide innovation strategy in Indonesia for MUFG as Danamon’s parent entity.
Jin Yoshida, Global Alliance Strategy Director of Danamon, explained, “Danamon is currently undergoing a digital transformation that serves as the foundation for it to continue delivering value to our customers and partners. 6Estates’ domain-specific large language model AI allows Danamon to improve operational speed and accuracy across its lending business, while at the same time, supporting our shared vision with MUFG to advance digitization and promote financial inclusion across Indonesia.”
Dr. Luan Huanbo, Chief Executive Officer of 6Estates, explained, “We’re proud to support Danamon with automation that delivers real, measurable impact. Our AI solutions are purpose-built for financial institutions and have been successfully deployed across Asia to help banks and other lenders unlock speed, scale, and smarter decisions. Beyond this automation, our GenAI models deliver deep risk insights—from fraud detection and cashflow analysis to multi-account consolidation and income statement reconstruction—enabling more robust and confident credit decisions.”
In the early stages of implementation, Danamon is deploying 6Estates’ finance-as-a-service (FAAS) platform, which is an AI-powered solution designed to automate bank statement analysis, including fraud detection, in a secured manner. During this period, Danamon is using 6Estates’ solution to process an average of more than 70,000 pages of identity and business documentation each month across Consumer Banking, SME Banking, and Enterprise Banking.
Beyond the automation utilized by Danamon, 6Estate’s GenAI solution provides comprehensive, end-to-end risk assessment capabilities that support faster and more accurate loan decisions. These include advanced features such as cash flow analysis, buyer-seller relationship evaluation, multi-account and multi-currency consolidation, payment capability analysis, and early warning indicators. It also supports memo generation and recasted income statement creation, offering deep, actionable insights for credit evaluation.
Deployment of 6Estates’ solutions enhances processing speed, accuracy, and analytical insight across its credit operations, with more than 99% data extraction accuracy from bank statements. This operational efficiency is expected to improve loan turnaround time, credit assessment quality and accuracy, and enhance customer experience, while at the same time, maintain robust compliance and banking data security.
For 6Estates, this partnership affirms its position as one of Southeast Asia’s leading enterprise AI solutions providers for financial institutions. The partnership with Danamon is a milestone for deployment of 6Estates’ AI-powered solution at scale in Indonesia.
The partnership with 6Estates affirms Danamon’s digital transformation priority, especially through investments in fundamental information technology infrastructure to improve operational efficiency. As part of its medium-term 2024-2026 strategic priorities, Danamon wishes to utilize enhanced data analytics and internal process improvements that enable Danamon to grow sustainably, as well as strengthen Danamon’s position as one of Indonesia’s largest commercial banks. The utilization of technology-based solutions also aligns with MUFG’s group-wide strategy to accelerate digital transformation in banking operations across the region, with great potential to scale.
This partnership was made possible with the support of Enterprise Singapore, who played a key role in facilitating this partnership. Its involvement reflects Enterprise Singapore’s continued commitment to fostering innovation and collaboration in the region.
