Jakarta, 27 March 2025 - In the spirit of Ramadan and welcoming Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijri, PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk (“Danamon”) through its Sharia Business Unit (“Danamon Syariah”) reaffirms its commitment to bringing a blessed Ramadan to the people of Indonesia. By partnering with employee cooperatives, Danamon launched the Mudik Bersama (joint homecoming) program aimed at facilitating safe, comfortable, and meaningful mudik journeys for its customers ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1446 H.
Merci Santi Adriani, Syariah Funding Business Head Danamon, said, “Eid al-Fitr is always a special moment for Indonesians. This long holiday season serves as an opportunity to reunite with family in their hometowns as they engage in the annual tradition of mudik, and share togetherness. Understanding the importance of this moment, Danamon strives to bridge distances and provide practical solutions through the Mudik Bersama program. This initiative reflects Danamon's philosophy of providing the best solutions and convenience for customers and its partners."
For this program, Danamon collaborates with two partners, PT Panasonic Gobel Indonesia Employee Cooperative (“Kopkar Panasonic”) and PT Kayaba Indonesia Employee Cooperative (“Kopkar Kayaba”). Through this partnership, Danamon and its two partners provide a total of 28 buses to accommodate approximately 1,400 travelers. The travelers will depart from factory locations in Cikarang and Pekayon in two waves, on 26 March 2025, and 29 March 2025. The facilities are provided free of charge as a form of Danamon's support for Kopkar Panasonic and Kopkar Kayaba customers who wish to return home safely and comfortably.
The Mudik Bersama program serves as a means for Danamon to strengthen its business relationships with the cooperatives and their parent companies. Additionally, this program is part of Danamon's long-term commitment to building mutually beneficial partnerships with Kopkar Panasonic and Kopkar Kayaba, who are customers with longstanding relationships with Danamon Syariah. Through Mudik Bersama, Danamon not only delivers services through financial products and offerings but also through social initiatives that directly impact the community. By facilitating safe and comfortable homecoming journeys, Danamon hopes to contribute to creating a more meaningful Ramadan for its customers.
"We would like to thank Kopkar Panasonic and Kopkar Kayaba for their support in realizing the Mudik Bersama program, as well as the participants who took part in this program. We hope that the participants have a smooth journey and arrive safely at their destinations, where they can reunite with their beloved families," Merci added.
This program also reflects Danamon's dedication to supporting the implementation of sharia-compliant financial principles that prioritize shared benefits. Through collaboration with Danamon Syariah customers, this program strengthens Danamon's position as a financial institution that not only focuses on business aspects but also values social and humanitarian principles.
"With the Mudik Bersama program, Danamon hopes to make a positive contribution by enabling safe, comfortable, and blessed mudik journeys for the people of Indonesia. This initiative is a manifestation of Danamon's commitment to continuously innovate and provide added value for customers and the wider community, especially during special moments like Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr," Merci concluded.
Danamon is committed to continuing efforts to be a reliable partner in providing holistic banking solutions that address customer needs, maintain social sensitivity, and contribute tangibly to the well-being of the Indonesian society. With a commitment to growing together with customers and the community, Danamon aspires to be a trusted financial institution that plays a significant role in Indonesia's economic and social development.
