PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk (Danamon) Together with the Group Members, Once Again Emphasizes Support for the Growth of Start-up in Indonesia through an event in collaboration with Ministry of Communications and Digital (Komdigi)

PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk (Danamon), strengthen its support for the growth of start-ups in Indonesia by holding an event with the theme “Unlock Investment Opportunities with Danamon Group, MUIP & Krungsri” as part of the NextHub Global Summit 2024.

The event which is a collaboration between Danamon Group, MUIP, Krungsri and the Ministry of Communications and Digital was opened by Bonifasius Wahyu Pudjianto, Director of Digital Economy Komdigi (left) and Reza Iskandar Sardjono as Chief Strategy Officer of Danamon (right).

On this occasion, Reza said that Danamon is collaborating with its parent company MUFG and MUFG Innovation Partners (MUIP) to provide initiative to support start-ups through the MUFG Innovation Garuda No. 1 Limited Investment Partnership (MUIP Garuda Fund) which has been launched since January 2023. 

"Through the Garuda Fund, Danamon, MUFG and MUIP provide investment funds of USD 100 million which aims to encourage the growth of start-ups and provide access to the extensive network owned by Danamon and its group of companies," said Reza.

Hendry Sunaryo as Senior Vice President - Partnership & Innovation Head, PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk (Danamon) was present as a speaker at event with the theme “Unlock Investment Opportunities with Danamon Group, MUIP & Krungsri” an event which is a collaboration between Danamon Group, MUIP, Krungsri and the Ministry of Communications and Digital.

During the event, Hendry said "Danamon and its group companies are committed to support the growth of the start-up ecosystem in Indonesia. Through Garuda Fund, we not only provide investment funding, but also open the access to our group of companies' digital capabilities and ecosystem to support start-up growth.”

In addition to Hendry, this event also invited Gerrard Lai as Vice President of Strategic Investment Director, MUFG Innovation Partners Co., Ltd and Suebsit Sarntisart as Director of Global Business Synergy Department Bank of Ayudhya PCL as speakers.
