Daisuke Ejima, President Director of PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk, visited the booth of Danamon and its group members at the Tech in Asia Conference 2024 which was held at the Ritz Carlton, Pacific Place on 23 & 24 October 2024. At this event, Danamon, MUFG and MUIP explained one of their main initiatives, namely the MUIP Garuda Fund, a USD 100 million investment fund that focuses on investing in startups at the Series A stage and beyond.
Danamon and its group members has participated in the Tech in Asia Conference as a form of commitment to support the growth of startups in Indonesia through holistic financial solution, strategic investment and collaboration.

We are also actively facilitating investment matching, as demonstrated by the Danamon Investment Matching Fair, which is part of our broader strategy to expand the digital business ecosystem and enhance collaboration within the financial sector. Through this initiative, we aim to identify the opportunity to invest in startups that show the potentiality for growth and success."
Hendry Sunaryo, Partnership & Innovation Head, PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk was present as a speaker at the Founder’s Summit session during the Tech in Asia Conference 2024. “We committed to support the growth of startup in Indonesia by providing the funding, ecosystem, digital capabilities, and collaboration for startups,” said Hendry at the Founder Summit session.
In addition to Hendry, this Founder Summit session also invited Gerrard Lai, Vice President of Strategic Investment Director, MUFG Innovation Partners Co., Ltd to explain about the MUIP aim to enhance Danamon's product offerings to customers through partnerships with startups across a range of fintech-related sectors.
Danamon together with its parent company MUFG and its group members, including Adira Finance, Zurich Asuransi Indonesia, and Home Credit Indonesia, once again supported the Tech in Asia Conference 2024 event. This year, Danamon and its group members introduced their various digital-based services to support the development of startups in Indonesia.
These services include digital payment solutions such as API-based QRIS and Direct Debit from Danamon, as well as the Adiraku, LiveWell, and My Home Credit applications. Startup players were seen enthusiastically visiting the booth owned by Danamon and its group members at the Tech in Asia Conference 2024 event to get more detailed information.
