Jakarta, 22 April 2024 - PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk (Danamon) proudly announced that they have received the prestigious Retail Banker International (RBI) Asia Trailblazer Award 2024 as the Best Retail Bank - Indonesia. This recognition received by Danamon for its ongoing commitment to business optimization through strategic investments in IT & Digital Infrastructure, People, Branding and Branch Network. The Best Retail Bank award for the Indonesian region given by the RBI Asia Trailblazer Awards 2024, is the third consecutive award received by Danamon.

RBI Asia Trailblazer Awards is a prestigious annual awards event, organized by MEED, a leading brand media management, together with GlobalData, a well-known data analysis and consulting company. The RBI Asia Trailblazer Awards organizes this program as a form of recognition for companies that make significant contributions through product innovation and visionary projects that help shape the future of the banking industry in the Asian region. This award reaches several countries in Asia including Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, India, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and others.
Danamon won this award because of the series of innovations also product and service improvements that have been implemented to make customer transactions easier. The consumer credit portfolio showed the highest credit growth reaching 41% YoY at the end of 2023 which was supported by partnerships with Japanese real estate companies and the acquisition of Standard Chartered Bank's consumer loan portfolio. Danamon has launched a number of updates, including increasing benefits for priority customers, namely Danamon Privilege which is specifically designed to meet customer needs in terms of traveling and medical benefits. Danamon also launched the Danamon Hadiah Beruntun (DHB) savings program for customers nationwide.
Danamon has launched 22 new features in the D-Bank PRO (digital banking for retail customers) application which offers flexibility in managing accounts and transactions, as well as providing wider access to financial solutions, including loans, wealth management and foreign exchange.
Danamon also provides seamless service solutions to customers and communities with the "Next Generation Branch Concept" transformation which has been running in 53 Branch Offices spread across 18 cities throughout 2023. Each Next Generation Branch Concept is equipped with digital facilities for simple daily transactions so it can be more effective, as well as consultancy facilities and information centers that can be utilized by customers and business partners to find financial solutions for every important moment in their life, work or business.
In December 2023, Danamon completed the acquisition of a retail loan portfolio from Standard Chartered Bank Indonesia (SCBI) consisting of customers with a good track record. This transaction has strengthened the Consumer Banking loan business which is one of Danamon's main business engines and created economies of scale from Danamon's investment in Branch Office networks, Digital Banking, and other capabilities improvement.
