Jakarta, 13 April 2023 – In the upcoming the Eid al-Fitr 1444 Hijria holiday period, PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk (“Danamon”) announced the operating hours of branches and services for customers. In line with the commitment to always grow and be present at every step and every stage of customer life, Danamon remains committed to providing banking services and facilities to help customers prepare for the holidays and have #RamadanLebihBerkah.
Eid al-Fitr is always a special moment for Indonesian Muslims. However, this year feels even more special because it is the first Eid celebration since the revocation of the Community Activity Restrictions Regulation (Pemberlakuan Pembatasan Kegiatan Masyarakat - PPKM) late last year. With the PPKM regulations revoked, people can gather with their families in their hometowns, and carry out the annual homecoming tradition.
In addition to keeping in touch with loved ones and asking for forgiveness moments, Eid is also a moment when people give gifts in the form of goods or new banknotes to younger relatives. This moment is also expected to encourage Indonesia's post-pandemic economic recovery by increasing public consumption supported by the distribution of the Holiday Allowance (Tunjangan Hari Raya - THR) and the 13th Salary by employees and the State Civil Apparatus (ASN), as well as joint leave which the government has announced will be on April 19 to 25, 2023.
To answer this need, Danamon as a bank that always strives to offer customer-centric solutions, will continue to operate 50 branches throughout Indonesia on 19-20 April at 08.00 until 16.30 local time as well as 24-25 April 2023 at 08.00 until 17.00 local time. Regular services operating among them are services for opening or closing CASA accounts, opening or withdrawing deposit accounts, cash deposits and withdrawals, transfers Rupiah, receipt of owned check and giro, PDC (Post-Dated Check) deposits in other bank’s check and giro as well as owned check and giro, SDB service (Safe Deposit Box) for branches that have SDB, as well as tax deposits. Other branches outside the list will not operate on 19-25 April 2023. For complete information on which branches will continue to operate during the Eid al-Fitr holiday period, visit bdi.co.id/infocabang.
Danamon will also continue to operate the entire ATM network 24/7 throughout Indonesia to facilitate transactions and ensure customers can obtain cash. Customers can also continue to use the D-Bank PRO application for all transaction needs including fund transfers, e-wallet top-ups, and payments using QRIS. Meanwhile, all Danamon branches and weekend banking services will not operate on 22-23 April 2023.
The return to the tradition of going home to people’s hometowns post-pandemic, giving gifts and holiday allowance, as well as increased consumption in the period towards the Eid al-Fitr is predicted to increase the public's need for banking services, as well as the need for banknotes, especially with smaller denominations.
Danamon meets this need by opening an exchange service with new emitions and smaller denominations during Ramadan. Danamon does not impose restrictions on exchanging banknotes at branches, and money exchanges can be made according to availability. Danamon has also provided an additional mobile branch service to make it easier for customers to make transactions, at the Islamic Center – Koja area, North Jakarta, which will operate from 3–14 April 2023 from 10:00 to 14:00 WIB every working day. For this mobile branch service, each customer can only exchange a maximum of IDR 3,800,000 with the following denominations: denominations of IDR 20,000 up to IDR 2,000,000; denominations of IDR 10,000 up to IDR 1,000,000; denominations of IDR 5,000 up to IDR 500,000; denominations of IDR 2,000 up to IDR 200,000; and denominations of IDR 1,000 up to IDR 100,000.
In addition to ensuring the availability of banking services during the Eid al-Fitr holiday period, Danamon has also launched the #RamadanLebihBerkah program. This program is based on an understanding of the rising prices of goods ahead of the Eid al-Fitr and is intended to help customers manage their finances by taking advantage of various attractive offers from Danamon. Through this program, customers can get more value to meet personal needs, or to share blessings with others through iftar events, giving gifts or hampers, and donating to people in need by using Debit Cards, Credit, Danamon Charge, and D-Bank PRO.
