Danamon Signs Cooperation Agreement with Garuda Indonesia

Provides Convenience and Flexibility in Flight Booking

PT Bank Danamon Indonesia, Tbk. (“Danamon”) today signed a cooperation agreement with PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. The agreement allows for the use of online payment channels through Danamon’s ATMs and Danamon’s internet banking service, Danamon Online Banking, to pay for Garuda Indonesia flight tickets.

The signing ceremony was conducted in Garuda City Center, Cengkareng, by Michellina Triwardhany, Consumer Banking Director, Danamon, and Elisa Lumbantoruan, Marketing and Sales Director, Garuda Indonesia. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Henry Ho, President Director, Danamon, and Emirsyah Satar, President Director, Garuda Indonesia.

“Danamon strives to give the best for its customers through cooperation with chosen partners. As Indonesia’s flag carrier and one of the most prominent airlines in the Southeast Asia region that serves 32 domestic and 18 international destinations, Garuda Indonesia is truly the right partner for Danamon,” said Henry Ho.

In the occasion, President & CEO Garuda Indonesia, Emirsyah Satar said that the coorperation formed part of Garuda Indonesia’ effort to continuously improve its service to its customer – especially by providing alternative ways to transact ticket payments.  “This cooperation between Garuda Indonesia and Danamon will be beneficial for both parties, as booking for Garuda Indonesia’s flights will be more optimal with the flexibility that is made possible by payment through Danamon’s wide network,” said Emirsyah Satar.

Through this cooperation, Danamon customers can book flights through Garuda Indonesia’s Call Center (021 – 23519999 or 0 804 1 807 807) to acquire a payment code which will be used for the payment through Danamon’s ATMs, which amounts to over 1,300 units and are spread across Indonesia. Additionally, starting in September 2012, Danamon customers can pay for Garuda Indonesia flight tickets through Danamon’s internet banking service, Danamon Online Banking. After the payment, Danamon customers can print the ticket from Garuda in Garuda Indonesia’s office by confirming the payment code and their identity card.

In addition to this, through this cooperation Garuda Indonesia’s customers can also make a reservation through Garuda Indonesia Mobile Application – an application that will enable Garuda Indonesia’s customer to make reservation through their mobile phone with the platform of Blackberry, IOS and Android.

“Air transportation has increasingly become a necessity to support business or personal activities as our customers become more mobile, and, therefore, improved flexibility and convenience in booking flights would certainly be an added value for them. We hope that this cooperation will bring Danamon closer to its customers,” said Michellina Triwardhany.

“This online payment cooperation with Danamon will strengthen Garuda Indonesia Call Center service, which is available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. As such, flight booking and its ensuing payment can be done anywhere and at any time. This will certainly provide improved convenience for customers when booking a flight, especially when anticipating a surge in flight booking as the Lebaran holiday approaches,” said Elisa Lumbantoruan.
