Danamon Announces Most Favorite Danamon Award 2012 Recipient and Bisa Award 2012 Winner
PT Bank Danamon Indonesia, Tbk (Danamon) today celebrates its 56th birthday by holding an awarding night for Danamon Award 2012, which is a form of appreciation for Indonesian empowerment heroes. At the same event, Danamon also announces the winners of Bisa Award 2012, which an award given to employees of Danamon and its subsidiaries who have shown Danamon’s corporate values.
“In line with the celebrations, I would like to thank the customers, business partners, and other stakeholders that have contributed in bringing Danamon to become one of Indonesia’s largest banks,” said Henry Ho, President Director, Danamon. “As part of Danamon’s birthday celebration, we award five of Indonesia’s empowerment heroes and to employees who have shown admirable achievements,” he added.
In the event that was held at The Ritz Carlton Jakarta Pacific Place, the Danamon Award 2012 Jury Panel announces Habibie Afsyah, “The Web Marketing Wizard” as Indonesia’s most favorite empowerment hero based on public voting through online channel, SMS, and social media, which was conducted between 9 June 2012 and 8 July 2012. Habibie received more votes that the four other Danamon Award 2012 recipients, which are Bambang Parianom “The Environmental Evangelist”, Djuhhari Witjaksono, “The Maritime Master Craftsman”, Joharipin, “The Harvest Hero” and Lale Alon Sari, “The Weaving Warrior.” This year, The panel of judges conducted two selection phases, whereby 302 proposals were short-listed into 15 finalists in the first phase and, in the second phase, the 5 Danamon Award 2012 recipients were selected out of the 15 finalists.
“In Danamon’s 56th birthday, we are proud to have witnessed the selected individuals in Danamon Award 2012 and Bisa Award 2012 Awarding Night. We support high-spirited individuals who strive to improve their own welfare, the well-being of others around them, and their environment. They are Indonesia’s true empowerment heroes. The Danamon Award recipients and Bisa Award winners share the vision as Danamon, which is caring and enabling millions to prosper. What they did are nothing short of inspiring and can empower many others,” said Danamon Award 2012 Chairperson, Zsa Zsa Yusharyahya.
In holding the sixth iteration of Danamon Award, Danamon partners with United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), a United Nations organization that focuses on human development. “We would like to extend our thanks to the Danamon Award 2012 panel of juries: Mr. I Wayan Dipta, Mr. Charles Saerang, Mr. Toriq Haddad, Mr. Ade Swargo Mulyo, Mr. Angger Pribadi Wibowo, Mr. Imam Prasodjo, Ms. Mira Lesmana, and Ms. Bonaria Siahaan. Additionally, we would like to thank our partners: UNDP, Tempo, Swisscontact, Delta FM, and TV One, which have all supported us throughout the Danamon Award 2012 proceedings,” added Zsa Zsa Yusharyahya.
Habibie Afsyah as the most favorite Danamon Award 2012 recipient receives a medal, award certificate, and Rp60,000,000 with tax fully paid by Danamon. The four other Danamon Award recipients each receives a medal, award certificate, and Rp40,000,000 with tax fully paid by Danamon.
In addition to announcing the most favorite Danamon Award 2012, at the same event, Danamon also announces the winners of Bisa Award 2012 to show its appreciation to the employees of Danamon and its subsidiaries who have shown Danamon’s corporate values and have realized the company’s vision. The winners of Bisa Award 2012 are Andrias Andri, Regional Service Head, Pekanbaru, and Rusmin Harris, Branch Service Manager, Palembang Sudirman. They each receive a medal and cash prizes. The awarding of the Bisa Award winners is hoped provide inspiration within Danamon’s internal environment.
